John Connellan (pictured) has joined TSP, bringing more than a decade of international experience in plaintiff litigation to the firm, specialising in high-value personal injury cases, including those related to road traffic accidents, public liability, sports injuries, and workplace incidents.
Prior to joining TSP, he served as a barrister and accredited mediator, further enhancing his ability to provide exceptional legal support to his clients, the firm noted in a statement.
With the appointment, the firm now has 22 lawyers across its Queensland-based offices.
The news follows the boutique firm’s appointment of three lawyers to its partnership in January.
Speaking about the hire, TSP managing partner Travis Schultz said: “John’s specialised experience and dedication to securing just results for his clients align perfectly with TSP values.
“His appointment reflects our vision to build a team of highly qualified experts that also stand behind our pursuit of a values-driven approach to law.
“We are thrilled to have him join the team as we continue to strengthen our presence in Brisbane.”
TSP partner Tim McClymont added: “John’s strengths in dispute resolution can make a substantial difference to the outcome of a case and save the cost and worry of an unnecessary trial.”
“John has a passion for sports, and as a former inter-county Gaelic footballer in Ireland, he has a natural drive and competitive edge which ensures he gets the best outcome for his clients.”
Connellan said: “I am honoured to be part of a firm that is renowned for its commitment to justice and community and wellbeing. TSP’s focus on putting clients first truly sets it apart in the legal community.
“In an era where the bottom line often dictates business decisions, the firm stands apart by ensuring clients receive the ‘lion’s share‘ of any settlement – that’s predominately what attracted me to joining the firm.
“In addition, the firm’s strategic stance on cases typically overlooked by others in the legal fraternity underlines the commitment to justice for all, not just the most profitable or straightforward cases.”
