Conditsis Lawyers appoints commercial and business team head
Central Coast-based law firm Conditsis Lawyers has appointed a “highly experienced and respected senior commercial lawyer” to spearhead its new commercial and business law team in Newcastle.
Conditsis Lawyers – a finalist for the Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards Regional/Suburban Law Firm of the Year in 2022 – has appointed Sue Walter (pictured) to lead the firm’s new commercial and business team in Newcastle.
Conditsis Lawyers revealed that Walter’s expertise encompasses a wide range of commercial law matters, which includes corporations and contractual dispute resolution, insolvency, trademark infringement, defamation, estate litigation and debt recovery.
The firm also revealed that “she is driven to achieve each client’s commercial and personal objectives in the most effective way possible and adopts a personalised, empathetic and solution-oriented approach with every client”.
Walter graduated from the University of Sydney with a bachelor of laws in 1998 and then attended The College of Law Australia in 1999.
With over 10 years of experience as a commercial lawyer, she has held various titles at different firms. This includes solicitor at Hunt & Hunt Lawyers and associate solicitor for HWL Ebsworth, Moray & Agnew, and Hicksons Lawyers.
The law firm also revealed that Walter has “led and been involved in several significant matters in the Supreme Court of NSW and, as a Newcastle-based lawyer for the past few years, is well-known and respected in the local court, tribunals and NCAT”.
Manny Conditsis, the founder and managing director for Conditsis Lawyers, emphasised that Walter’s appointment to this new role is a strategic move for the law firm to expand the range of legal services it offers in the Central Coast region.
“The directors welcome and applaud the appointment of Ms Walter to the Conditsis team of outstanding professionals.
“The appointment of such a motivated high achiever in Ms Walter reflects the firm’s enthusiasm and vision for expansion into the commercial law realm and have no doubt that she will set new benchmarks for commercial lawyers in the Newcastle/Hunter region,” Conditsis commented.
Eager to start with the firm, Walter expressed: “I am very excited about my new role with Conditsis Lawyers, a firm known for its ethics, values, excellent legal service and genuine client care. I am committed to serving Hunter-based clients – a region that has been my home for 13 years.
“I look forward to growing the commercial law team in Newcastle and helping people in our local community receive realistic and practical legal advice.”
