Team of 4 joins Finlaysons from Oak Law
Finlaysons has moved to strengthen its property ranks with the appointment of a partner, special counsel, conveyancer, and law clerk from a rival Adelaide-based firm.
Partner Lisa Harrington, special counsel Kate Lewis, conveyancer Nicola Fortune, and law clerk Isabel Palmer have all joined Finlaysons, bolstering the firm’s property capabilities.
She is, the firm went on, an experienced property lawyer with more than 15 years of experience and is a “widely recognised and highly regarded property and hospitality lawyer”.
The news follows Finlaysons nabbing a team from BigLaw firm MinterEllison earlier this month, as well as its appointment of a new tax partner last May.
The team has already commenced at its new firm, having come across from fellow Adelaide-based firm Oak Law.
The appointments mean that Finlaysons’ property team now has four partners, nine lawyers, and three conveyancers, which the firm said makes it South Australia’s largest commercial property law provider.
Speaking about the hires, Finlaysons managing partner Andrew Dyda said: “The partnership is excited to welcome Lisa, Kate, Nicola and Isabel to the Finlaysons team.
“Their highly regarded experience and expertise will be an excellent addition to our firm, complementing and further strengthening the firm’s existing property and commercial practices.”
Ms Harrington added: “The team and I are thrilled to be joining Finlaysons.
“What attracted us to the firm is their progressive and dynamic approach to providing the best legal solutions to businesses and the wider community.
“I am excited to be part of the partnership, which is at the forefront of legal services, and working with the Finlaysons team to continue its growth across all areas of the firm.”
