Travis Schultz & Partners appoints 3 to partnership
Queensland compensation law firm Travis Schultz & Partners, which has offices in Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Cairns, and the Gold Coast, has welcomed three lawyers to its partnership and has also hired a new senior associate.
Travis Schultz & Partners now has eight partners across the Sunshine State, having recently welcomed three professionals to its partnership ranks.
“I had the privilege of working with Kane for many years earlier in my legal career, so I have seen firsthand the diligence, compassion, and professionalism with which he plies his trade. When Kane said he would like to join us and bring his clients across to TSP, I jumped at the chance to be able to work with him once again,” Mr Schultz detailed.
Further, TSP has promoted two special counsel, Emma Davidson and Greg Spinda (whom the firm hired in February 2023), to its partnership, bringing its number of partners to eight.
“Greg and Emma exemplify all we stand for at TSP. As a result of their hard work and dedication to their clients, their careers have moved from strength to strength. And, more than this, they are both passionate advocates for helping others and giving back to the community – an important values pillar here at TSP,” Mr Schultz submitted.
The news follows the firm’s appointment of three lawyers in August last year.
Elsewhere, TSP welcomed Jonathon Wright as a senior associate in its Brisbane office earlier this month.
The Queensland firm now has more than 60 staff across its four locations in Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Cairns, and the Gold Coast.
Speaking about the hires, Mr Schultz proclaimed: “Our leaders of the future have arrived.
“They have initiative, aren’t afraid to learn from mistakes, support each other, and give back more than they take – and they have a life outside of work. These rock star lawyers have a talent for finding efficiencies and a passion for supporting causes that are dear to their hearts.”
Mr Schultz also expanded on what it means to the firm to be developing its leaders for years to come.
“After some tough years with lockdowns and work from home, many lawyers faced the challenge of not being able to learn through one-on-one mentoring,” he said.
“We’ve had to rethink how to best lead and nurture our up-and-coming stars – how they learn, want to be mentored and progress their careers. This has set the stage for some well-deserved promotions.”
