Lavan promotes 7, hires 2 senior associates
Full-service West Australian firm Lavan has elevated eight professionals to start the new year and has also hired two senior associates for its property and leasing and restructuring and insolvency teams, respectively.
Lavan has started the new year with a promotion round, elevating one lawyer to senior associate and seven to associate across several of its practice areas.
The firm’s newest associates are Jethro Schoeman (litigation and dispute resolution), Ben Kruize (corporate services), Amanda Soh (restructuring and insolvency), Jay Bebbington and Jack Hely (property and leasing), and Regina Nunag and Nemanja Stepanovic (construction and infrastructure).
The promotions were effective as of this month.
Elsewhere, the firm has appointed Adri Lock and Malini Tanabalan as senior associates.
Ms Lock joined the firm’s property and leasing team in November of last year, while Ms Tanabalan joined in September and works in the firm’s restructuring and insolvency practice.
The news follows the firm’s naming of two new special counsel in July of last year, its nabbing of a partner from HopgoodGanim in the same month, and its hiring of a partner from Carr & Co Divorce and Family Lawyers in March.
Speaking about the promotions and appointments, Lavan managing partner Dean Hely said: “On behalf of the partners and everyone at Lavan, I am delighted to congratulate these outstanding lawyers on their promotions and appointments.
“Each of these highly qualified practitioners [is] skilled at navigating legal situations, from simple to the complex. They have shown a real commitment to their practice, the firm, and our wider society.”
