Addisons hires partner from Clayton Utz
A partner from national law firm Clayton Utz, who spent almost two decades at the firm as a partner, has joined Addisons in its corporate team.
David Stammers (pictured) has joined Addisons, bringing a quarter of a century of private equity experience to the Sydney-based law firm.
The news follows the firm’s addition of a partner from Mills Oakley in late August, promotion of a corporate lawyer to partner in mid-July, and its hiring of a partner and senior associate from boutique firm Watson Mangioni in early June.
Speaking about the hire, Addisons managing partner Kieren Parker said: “We are thrilled David has joined our partnership.
“David has an exceptional reputation for M&A and private equity, both in Australia and internationally, and his appointment will significantly bolster our nine-partner strong corporate team.
“As an independent firm with a full-service offering, Addisons has been increasing our share of inbound corporate work in recent times. David’s international focus demonstrates our desire and commitment to being a trusted local adviser to foreign clients and international firms.
“One of David’s strengths is his ability to build longstanding relationships with his clients. He will be a great fit.”
Mr Stammers added: “I am delighted to have joined the corporate team at Addisons.
“They are a strong and growing team with an excellent reputation. I look forward to assisting in the continued development of their private equity practice and the M&A practice more generally.”
