Compensation lawyer rejoins Kells
Illawarra law firm Kells has welcomed back lawyer Melissa Pacheco Zizic, who is returning to the firm from RMB Lawyers, where she was a partner.
Melissa Pacheco Zizic (pictured) has rejoined Kells in its personal injury practice. She has, the firm said in a statement, served the local Illawarra community for the past 13 years as a personal injury lawyer in cases ranging from product and public liability, motor vehicle accidents, medical negligence, nervous shock, workers’ compensation, work injury damages, bullying and harassment, and assault claims, to total permanent disability (TPD), income protection and life insurance claims and more.
Kells partner and head of personal injury David Potts said: “We are seeing a dynamic increase in activity in our compensation practice.
“Melissa’s deep understanding of compensation law and her wealth of experience will be a great value to our clients. I look forward to working with her once again.”
The firm’s managing partner, Paul Magagnino, added: “Starting her legal career at Kells Lawyers, Melissa is deeply familiar with the firm’s collaborative culture and client-service focus.
“Melissa is an accomplished expert lawyer, and with her arrival, we continue to strengthen our capabilities to serve clients across Sydney, the Illawarra and Macarthur regions, Southern Highlands, and the Shoalhaven.
“We continue to focus on the growth and development of key practice areas in Sydney and the South Coast, including the compensation practice.
“We are excited and honoured to have Melissa rejoin the team and share her knowledge not only with clients but with the next generation of Kells lawyers.”
After leaving Kells in early 2013, Ms Pacheco Zizic worked at Curwoods Lawyers (now McCabes), and then at RMB Lawyers for nearly nine years, including one year as a partner.
Speaking about her return to the firm, she said: “I am excited to once again be part of the Kells team and collaborate with talented, highly regarded colleagues across the firm.
“You are who you surround yourself with, and this is the key reason why I’ve returned to Kells. It’s a business with the highest standards and right kind of people. I have always respected and admired Kells for their commitment to their clients and teamwork.”
