Estrin Saul Lawyers & Migration Specialists – which in 2019 won the Boutique Law Firm of the Year category at the Australian Law Awards – has promoted two lawyers to more senior roles.

Nicole Farrar, formerly a senior associate, has been elevated to practice leader for corporate visas, while Alice Graziotti has been appointed as a special counsel for character and cancellations.

Speaking about the promotions, firm partner Daniel Estrin said that the post-COVID-19 skills shortage meant there was a significant increase in demand for employer-sponsored visa services.

“Our corporate team across both Perth and Adelaide office has grown significantly – we’re delighted that Nicole Farrar has accepted the practice leader role for a fast-paced and specialised area of expertise,” Mr Estrin said.

Mr Estrin added that the firm’s corporate team also expected to see an uptick in audit and compliance work, as the Australian Border Force increased its monitoring activities.

He went on to say: “Alice is one of the leading lawyers in Western Australia working in the section 501/character migration space and I’m very pleased to welcome her to her new role as special counsel.

“Her enthusiasm, professionalism, knowledge and sensitivity towards clients’ circumstances are testament to the outstanding contribution she has made to the migration space in Australia.”

Estrin Saul has offices in Perth and Adelaide.
