Lavan appoints partner from HopgoodGanim
Perth-based firm Lavan has nabbed a partner from national practice HopgoodGanim Lawyers for its restructuring and insolvency team.
Leith Ayres (pictured) has joined full-service firm Lavan, having come across from HopgoodGanim, where he was a partner for five years.
Mr Ayres is, the firm said in a statement, “a highly regarded litigator”, who has worked with some of Australia’s largest financial institutions and insolvency practitioners in a notable career that spans more than 30 years.
Speaking about the appointment, Lavan managing partner Dean Hely said: “I am delighted to announce Leith’s appointment as a partner at Lavan.”
“Leith will bring valuable additional depth to our experienced restructuring and insolvency team as well as our litigation team and will add greatly to our capacity to handle large, complex matters, ensuring our clients’ interests are in excellent hands at all times,” he said.
Restructuring and insolvency partner Joseph Abberton said: “Leith is a well-respected practitioner with a significant amount of restructuring experience who will add to the strength and depth of our team.”
“He will be a great addition and help us to continue to deliver the best outcomes for our clients. The team is very much looking forward to having Leith on board,” he noted.
