Western Australia-based full-service firm HHG Legal Group has appointed a new chief operating officer.
Merrill MacNish (pictured) has been named as the new chief operating officer for HHG and will be responsible for supporting the operational aspects of the firm and the implementation of business strategy.
She also worked in the not-for-profit agribusiness space and was executive officer to the former minister for agriculture, regional development, small business, and hydrogen industry, the Honourable Alannah MacTiernan.
HHG managing director Murray Thornhill said: “We are delighted that Merrill is joining HHG Legal Group. Merrill has extensive personal business experience as well as specific experience as an executive GM in a variety of boutique law firms and other larger organisations.
“She fully understands ‘constant improvement’ and has a strong regional network in addition to her familiarity with law firm operational management.”
Ms MacNish added: “After meeting with Murray and [director] Simon [Creek], the leadership team and associated business professionals, I was convinced HHG was the perfect place to continue my career. The values of the organisation mirror my own.
“Its welcoming culture and emphasis on constant improvement are very appealing. I look forward to helping shape the firm’s future.”
