Present at a Solicitors Complaints Tribunal hearing, at which the lot of former Baker Johnson law clerk Dean Bax was to be announced, Nimmo fainted to the floor. And no-one can blame an outrageous verdict for his demise, the blackout occurring before the tribunal had even read out its ruling.
The unconscious watchdog, whom it was later revealed suffers from diabetes, was rushed to hospital in an ambulance.
He came to soon after and has since told reporters that he intends to apply for the head position at the Legal Services Commission, which will take over the QLS’s disciplinary function early next year.
