Melbourne-based law firm marshalls+dent+wilmoth (MDW) has elevated two entertainment practitioners, one to senior associate and another to associate.
Odilla O’Boyle has been elevated to senior associate, which the firm said was in “recognition of her continued excellence and valued contributions”.

Ms O’Boyle has, the firm said in a statement, provided production legals and advice on a diverse range of feature films, TV and documentary projects, including Penguin Bloom, The Portable Door, I Met A Girl, Ride Like A Girl, Escape From Pretoria, Harley & Katya, and The Stranger.
“She is experienced in negotiating and contracting with rights’ owners, screen agencies, local and international lenders, investors, distributors, sales agents and SVOD platforms,” the firm noted.
Elsewhere, Davina Colquhoun has been promoted to associate, as an “integral member” of the firm’s media and entertainment team.
She has provided production legals and advice on a diverse range of feature films, TV and documentary projects, including Of an Age, My Name is Gulpilil, The Power of the Dog, The Royal Hotel, The Survival of Kindness, Nine Perfect Strangers, Wolf Like Me – Seasons 1 and 2, and The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart.
Ms Colquhoun has worked in research, programming, and administrative roles for major arts and film festivals, holds both a B.F.A in film production and a B.A (Hons) majoring in cinema theory, and produced short films, which featured at many international film festivals, the firm outlined.
Speaking about the appointments, MDW principal Bryce Menzies said: “I am so pleased for both Odilla and Davina.
“Their promotion makes the department and the firm so much stronger.”
