Deal significance: Autumn Lodge is described as one of Armidale’s oldest aged-care facilities.
According to a statement from Russell Kennedy Lawyers, the group sought expressions of interest from several organisations before selecting Uniting NSW.ACT as the organisation with whom they would undertake a merger. The merger was completed in late September 2022.
Commenting on the deal, Russell Kennedy principal and transaction lead Rohan Harris, said: “We were pleased to support the outgoing Autumn Lodge board and executive team on completing a significant transaction for the ongoing delivery of aged care and retirement living accommodation and services in the local Armidale community.”
David Steller, outgoing chair of the board at Autumn Lodge, added: “There is a strong fit with the values of Autumn Lodge, experience in regional service delivery, capacity to add value to the existing operations, and experience in major capital works programs that can extend and/or upgrade the existing facilities.”
