Ms Listar has extensive experience in the investment management industry from her previous positions at Maven Securities, Morgan Stanley, Herbert Smith Freehills, and BT; with a background that spans Australia, Asia, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

Ms Listar’s new position will play a crucial part in the firm’s expansion goals through 2023 and beyond, maintaining its present client connections and expanding into other areas of practice management.

Tanja’s hiring represents Cleveland & Co’s aspirations to expand within the Asia-Pacific region, and it marks an exciting new chapter in the firm’s growth story in Australia.

The requirement to strike a balance between broad practice management and client-facing delivery is becoming increasingly critical as the company and its client base increase.

Speaking about the appointment, chief executive Emma Cleveland said that Ms Listar, who is “ideally placed to lead”, is an engaging, client-focused leader with a strong commitment to client service.

“Our clients will benefit hugely from her wealth of experience in the sector and her capability building successful, long-term, and mutually beneficial relationships,” Ms Cleveland said.

Commenting on her new role, Ms Listar said: “I am delighted to be appointed the head of Cleveland & Co’s Asia-Pacific operations and am very much looking forward to helping to expand the firm’s reach across the region.

“Cleveland & Co’s business model is hugely attractive, providing clients with expertise, responsiveness, and cost certainty.

“I am confident that the firm’s footprint in the region’s financial services sector will continue to grow as a result of these attributes.

“I am excited to continue to build on the foundations that have been built in Sydney, and look forward to developing new and fostering existing client relationships, driving growth and profitability for the firm.”

Ms Listar succeeds Andrew Goldstein, who joined Cleveland & Co’s early development in Australia.
