Full-service, national firm SLF Lawyers — which until now had offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth — has opened a fifth office in the Gold Coast.

The firm’s expansion into this region of Queensland is being led by senior partners Mark Smith and John Gdanski, along with special counsel Fabio Orlando, associate Alex Canavan, lawyer Keeley Press, paralegal Nicole Gdanski and office manager Sally Dew.

Speaking about the new office for the national firm, Mr Smith said: “The partners of SLF lawyers saw an opportunity for a mid-tier firm of its character to fill the void in the Gold Coast market, where there appears an absence of an integrated fully serviced law firm that offers nationwide coverage for Gold Coast residents.

“Our firm also recognised that a number of its staff are born and bred Gold Coast locals who had a desire to return and work on the Coast [with] friends, colleagues and family.

“We are committed long term to the success of this office.”

Ms Press added: “This is an exciting time to be setting up a new office for a national mid-tier law firm on the Gold Coast, cementing its position in one of the most dynamic and progressive business hubs in the country.

“SLF Lawyers cares about connecting deeply with its clients’ needs and objectives and delivering on those with strong results.”

Ms Press, who specialises in workplace relations and safety law, said that she is “delighted to be part of the Gold Coast team and am excited to showcase [to] clients what sets SLF Lawyers apart from other law firms”.
