Key players: The Addisons legal team advising Hillridge Technology was led by managing partner Kieren Parker, who was supported by senior associate Rebecca Dooley and solicitor Sophie Evans.

Deal significance: Hillridge Technology is described as an early-stage technology company that supports farmers in Australia and globally with weather-index protection.

According to a statement provided by Addisons, the company’s seed funding round will enable it to accelerate its mission to help farmers mitigate the financial impact of poor weather conditions.

Commenting further, Addisons managing partner Kieren Parker said: “Hillridge is seeking to play an important role in ensuring that farmers have access to affordable climate insurance, and investor support through this funding round is an important milestone to Hillridge achieving that aim.

“Congratulations to co-founders Dale Schilling and Dai-Kyu Kim.”
