FAL Lawyers promote partner
Boutique law firm FAL Lawyers has elevated a senior associate to partner, who brings over a decade of IP experience to his new role.
Partner Rhys Munzel first joined the firm as a lawyer and patent attorney in 2017 and was promoted to senior associate in 2020.

He advises on matters involving technology commercialisation, IP ownership and infringement, IT procurement, and general contracts — and spent more than a decade at IP Australia before joining the firm.
Mr Munzel has also led a number of firm-wide initiatives. He led the development of FAL IP — the firm’s dedicated intellectual property practice. He has also played an integral part in the development of Flying Start Up, an online legal service for technology start-ups.
FAL Lawyers founding partner Peter Francis said he was excited to welcome Mr Munzel to the partnership.
