Clement Dunn has been promoted to principal, Frankie-Rae Clapham and Jessica Wynd have been elevated to special counsel, and Evelyn Zeglinas is the firm’s newest associate.

Mr Dunn is “skilled at negotiating international licensing agreements, private financing arrangements, and top-tier talent agreements”, the firm said, and his status as the firm’s newest principal is a “recognition of his significant experience, academic achievement, and client service in the Australian film industry”.

Ms Clapham, the firm continued, is “known for providing practical legal advice to help steer feature film and television projects through the development and production stages”, while Ms Wynd is “highly regarded for her skills in negotiating complex financial agreements, managing superannuation issues, and navigating spousal maintenance and parenting arrangements”. Elsewhere, Ms Zeglinas has “proven [herself] invaluable when representing property developers, start-up companies, and other organisations”.

The promotions are effective as of 1 September 2022.

Speaking about the promotions, MDW principals Jeffrey Pinch, John McBride and Bryce Menzies reflected that the four lawyers with new roles all have a drive to keep improving their knowledge and expertise as well as the requisite desire to deliver the best possible service regardless of the challenges.

“It’s a great day for MDW,” Mr Pinch proclaimed.

“These promotions are a strong sign that our firm, leadership team, and clients’ legal affairs are in safe hands for generations.

“Congratulations to Clement, Frankie-Rae, Jessica and Evelyn.”
