BEGINNING IN the new year, Lance Sacks and Jason Mendens will be partners of Chang, Pistilli & Simmons.
Sacks has also been engaged in a large number of capital raising projects including initial public offerings, rights issues, share and debt issues, underwritings and stock exchange listings. Prior to joining CPS, he worked as a senior associate in the corporate group of Atanaskovic Hartnell following a stint as a senior corporate lawyer in the mergers and acquisitions group of Clayton Utz in Sydney.
Also a corporate lawyer, Mendens has advised Australian and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raisings, and major projects, particularly in the energy and resources sector. Before taking up his new post he worked with the corporate teams of Gilbert & Tobin and Atanaskovic Hartnell.
Mendens has also advised on international, cross-border transactions, having practised for over four years as a senior corporate lawyer with Linklaters in London.
Joining the partners at the firm are five new lawyers in the corporate group. Guy Miller, formerly at Clayton Utz, Richard Graham from Gilbert & Tobin, and Eddy Goldsmith from Baker & McKenzie all joined as senior associates. Andrew Hensher, of Gilbert & Tobin, and Marcus Connor, of Thomson Playford, were taken on as solicitors.
