Nick Slack (pictured) brings more than two decades of experience to his new role, the firm said in a statement, including acting for Australian and international financiers and borrowers across a broad range of industry sectors.

He brings a “wealth” of technical expertise and commercial experience to Kain’s debt practice, the firm said.

According to Kain debt capital markets lead director Michael Chrisohoou: “Nick is a nationally recognised expert in debt capital markets with a wealth of experience advising both corporate borrowers and alternative credit funds across multiple jurisdictions. Nick is an outstanding addition to our growing DCM team.

“Nick will add depth to our DCM team’s advice on leveraged and acquisition finance for M&A transactions, project and infrastructure finance, direct property investment and development finance, mezzanine finance, bond issuances and convertible and hybrid security issuances.”

Kain managing director John Kain added: “Nick is an important addition to our growing team of transaction specialists.

“He is the fourth director to join our Sydney office following last year’s recruitment of M&A and private equity specialists Simone Collignon and Brendan Wykes.”
