LAW FIRM Watts McCray has appointed Professor Patrick Parkinson as special counsel.
“I look forward to working closely with so many able and experienced family lawyers, advising them and applying my knowledge in a practical way to a range of family law issues,” Parkinson said.
An active contributor to community work concerning child protection, Parkinson has been a member of the NSW Child Protection Council, and was chairperson of a major review of NSW law concerning child protection, which led to the enactment of the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998.
Professor Parkinson has published numerous books including Family Law in Context, Principles of Equity and Child Sex Abuse and the Churches.
