NEW PARTNER Timothy Beale has been appointed at Brisbane firm Hemming & Hart Lawyers.

Beale brings expertise in taxation law, e-commerce and intellectual property law. Prior to his appointment, Beale was a director with the Australian Taxation Office in Queensland.

“This is an exciting development for Hemming & Hart,” managing partner Rick Anthon said. “[Beale’s] credentials, his academic record and most importantly his recent high-level taxation experience will further bolster the proactive service we provide for our clients.”

Beale has also worked as a senior government lawyer with the Queensland Department of Justice and the Attorney-General.

“This financial year, the ATO’s compliance plan includes self managed super funds and a review of service trusts,” Anthon said. “[Beale] has significant expertise in both of these areas.”
