ACCREDITED FAMILY law specialist Margaret Arthur has been appointed to Carne Reidy Herd’s elder law section.

Arthur has a strong interest in elder law, having previously worked as a solicitor to the seniors’ advocacy and information legal service of Caxton Legal Centre, a community legal program providing legal advice and representation to people aged 65 and over concerned for their personal and financial security.

She has advised and represented clients in a broad range of matters including applications to the Guardianship and Administration Tribunal, recovery of property and assets from family members and issues surrounding aged-care accommodation.

Having spent many years as a family law practitioner, Arthur is an experienced mediator, along with being a part-time member of the Children Services Tribunal, and a member of the Legal Aid Family Law Chairperson panel.
