Upcoming roadshow to target family law practitioners
A new roadshow will kick off in February with family law practitioners at centre stage.

Led by SmokeBall’s FamilyProperty, the 2022 State of Family Law Conference – Navigating the FCFCOA Merger will explore the practical implications of working with the newly established Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA).
The roadshow will then move to Melbourne’s Arts Centre on 23 February, before wrapping up at the Hilton, Sydney on 24 February.
“With separation on the rise and most clients engaging boutique law firms to handle their family law matters, not a lot of time or administrative support is available to family lawyers to master the FCFCOA’s brand-new processes and documents,” said Fiona Kirkman, chief executive of FamilyProperty, on the reason behind the launch of the roadshow.
“We want to empower these professionals to understand the FCFCOA’s processes and documents so they can do their jobs and assist their clients more effectively. We want to offer clients a seamless family law experience, both in the dispute resolution and court phases of their matters.
“The roadshow is designed to ensure that family lawyers are equipped to ensure that this occurs.”
