BRISBANE FIRM Broadley Rees has appointed Robert Lyons to the position of associate specialising in commercial property and liquor licensing.

Lyons practises predominantly in property law, assisting in property transactions, rural property acquisitions, commercial and retail leasing, community title development, liquor licensing and gaming, and property disputes.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Japanese, both from the University of Queensland.

Lyons’ experience extends to acting for developers and owners of large-scale retail centres, involving direct negotiation with tenants, where he has gained an extensive knowledge of the operation of the Retail Shop Leases Act 1994. He has acted in the acquisition and disposal of various commercial sites, including due diligence investigations and the negotiation and drafting of specific conditions for acquisitions and disposals.
