The merger, which officially comes into effect on 5 January 2022, will see FCW Lawyers join forces with a new team.

The team of five, led by founder Mark Harrick, will establish the firm’s commercial litigation practice group, complementing FCW’s expertise and providing clients with national litigation and insolvency support, according to the firm.

FCW Lawyers’ managing principal, Andrew Douglas, said that the merger would help FCW continue its journey to being a full-service, national commercial firm.

“Welcoming Mark and his team to the firm allows FCW to expand our support for clients; in particular protecting their assets as the longer-term impacts of the pandemic filter down nationwide,” he said.

Senior associates Caroline Skeoch and Catriona Battaglia, lawyer Natalie Rossi and paralegal Priscilla Chengabraydoo will join Mr Harrick at FCW, bringing with them more than 60 years of combined experience assisting clients with commercial and property disputes and addressing insolvency challenges.

Mr Harrick added that this move was a great opportunity for his team.

“Joining FCW Lawyers is an incredibly exciting opportunity for our team as we can bring our litigation and insolvency expertise to support new industries and expand the services we can offer our loyal clients and referrers,” he said.
