AS PART of the firm’s continued state-wide growth, Queensland firm MacDonnells Law has recently appointed Chris Taylor as special counsel in its Brisbane office.

Taylor has more than 25 years experience as a commercial lawyer with experience in both in-house and in private practice. He joins MacDonnells from Golden Casket Lottery Corporation Ltd where he was general counsel for six years.

Taylor has worked on a number of notable commercial projects including World Expo ’88, the decentralisation of the management of the state government’s telephone network and the acquisition of Golden Casket by Tattersalls. In addition to commercial projects, he also has expertise in commercial contracts, trade practices, franchising, intellectual property and regulatory compliance.
