LIAM PRESCOTT, a dispute resolution lawyer with experience in London, has been appointed as a senior associate at Brisbane based firm Hopgood Ganim.
Speaking of his decision to return to Brisbane and to join Hopgood Ganim, Prescott said: “With longer term goals in mind the time was right to move back to Brisbane and with a young family. In the time we’ve been away, the city has really boomed and it’s an exciting place to come back to. The legal market has also changed and the continued growth of Hopgood Ganim’s national and international client base together with its autonomy as a Queensland firm made it a very attractive opportunity,” he said.
His work at Linklaters included acting on behalf of clients such as the Royal Bank of Scotland, Merrill Lynch, Petobras, Marubeni Corporation and Ernst & Young in large scale litigation, arbitration and regulatory investigations. He also advised the firm’s corporate and projects clients on dispute resolution clauses and multi-party/multi-contract umbrella arbitration agreements.
