Senior hire to boost HFW’s dispute resolution and construction practice
Global law firm HFW has enhanced its Australian dispute resolution and construction practice with the appointment of a new partner.
Former Baker McKenzie partner Jo Delaney will bring more than 20 years of experience in international arbitration within the construction, energy and infrastructure sectors into her new appointment at HFW.
“As a highly rated arbitration and commercial litigation across HFW’s core sectors underpins our sustained growth in the construction, energy and infrastructure sectors,” Ms Chudleigh commented. “We look forward to exploring these tremendous synergies to the benefit of our clients.”
Ms Delaney has a particular focus on complex, cross-border disputes in the construction, energy and infrastructure sectors. She has conducted arbitrations under all major arbitration rules and is one of two Australian members to the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
Head of dispute resolution Nick Longley said: “Jo’s arrival significantly strengthens our dispute resolution and arbitration offering, not just in Australia but across the Asia-Pacific region. Jo brings a wealth of experience and is highly regarded in the market.”
Commenting on her new appointment, Ms Delaney said she is very excited to be joining HFW and being part of its growth across the Asia-Pacific.
“The firm’s specialist industry focus on energy, construction and infrastructure, key areas for the economic growth in Australia, combined with the extensive expertise and experience of its lawyers across its global footprint has been central to its success in Australia,” Ms Delaney said.
