The acquisition of Alliance will “further fuel Proximity’s momentum”, the firm said in a statement, increasing its offering in government sector procurement, financial and management consulting experience.

The full Alliance team – including owners Peter Bell and Jenifer Frederick – will join Proximity, meaning the firm’s staff will total over 100 persons across Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

Mr Bell said that the Alliance team is excited to be joining forces with Proximity: “Combining our existing capabilities and expertise with Proximity will improve our ability to deliver consulting and commercial solutions to a wider audience and increase our reach to help clients overcome challenges.

“We feel strongly that Alliance’s practical approach to solving challenges with great advisors who genuinely care about helping their clients is strongly aligned with Proximity’s approach. And the people first culture Proximity embodies is just one of the many reasons we decided to join forces.”

Proximity director James Dunn (pictured) added that the acquisition strengthens the firm’s ability to deliver dynamic commercial, consulting, and legal solutions to government and large organisations.

“We are deeply committed to building our integrated service offering and multidisciplinary team. This milestone demonstrates our commitment to meeting rising client demands for this approach,” he said.

“We are excited about this step forward and we are confident this exciting milestone in our 10th year of business will enable our people, clients, and communities to go further.”
