ASX-listed wellness business adds vegan group to fold

Australian law firm Maddocks has advised ASX-listed wellness business BWX on its acquisition of Flora & Fauna.

Key players: The legal team advising BWX was led by Maddocks corporate partner Damien Wurzel and senior associate Steven Tang and assisted by lawyer Cassandra Charlaftis.

The corporate team was supported by partner Brendan Tomlinson, special counsel Elise Ball, associate Vicki Howe and lawyer Imogen Wurf from Maddocks’ technology, media and telecommunications team, as well as partner Lindy Richardson and senior associate Christopher Charalambous from the Maddocks employment, safety and people team.

Deal significance: Flora & Fauna is described as a leading Australian online retail platform focused on vegan, ethical and sustainable products.

BWX’s acquisition of Flora & Fauna will see the latter operate alongside BWX’s e-commerce business, Nourished Life.

As part of the acquisition, founder and chief executive of Flora & Fauna, Julie Mathers, and her team will join BWX.
