National law firm Keypoint Law has elevated two of its special counsel to consulting principal – the first time that the firm has promoted internally as such.
The newest consulting principals for the firm are Adam Gascoigne-Cohen and Dean Tolkin (both pictured), who work in the workplace and estate planning and commercial litigation groups, respectively.
The promotions mark the first time, in the firm’s seven-year history, that it is has elevated lawyers internally to the position of principal, having previously appointed principals via lateral hires.
In a statement, Keypoint said that both lawyers “stand out for their legal skill, dedication, and superb client manner”.
Speaking about the two new consulting principals, Keypoint chief executive Warren Kalinko said: “What is particularly encouraging about both these promotions, is that they demonstrate the development of our home-grown talent.
“When the firm was originally formed, it was envisaged purely as a firm for senior lawyers. It is gratifying to see how Keypoint has evolved, innovated, and most importantly, found a way to ensure that rising stars within its ranks can find a route to Consulting Principal through talent, hard work and a mastery of their areas.
“Both Dean and Adam exemplify these traits. We are delighted with these appointments and congratulate Adam and Dean on their tremendous achievements.”
