DLA PHILLIPS Fox has lured two partners across from Ebsworth & Ebsworth to its Sydney office.

Health law specialist Alison Choy Flannigan has joined the firm’s corporate group. Flannigan has more than 15 years experience in private practice, acting for the public and private sector health industry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and aged care/retirement-living clients.

Prior to being a partner at Ebsworth & Ebsworth, Flannigan was general counsel — corporate and commercial — with Australia’s largest private hospital operator, Ramsay Health Care Limited. In 2008 she was named as a pre-eminent health care lawyer in Best Lawyers International: Australia and she has been named in Legal Profiles as a rising star in health care law.

Tim L’Orange has joined the firm’s real estate team. He has extensive experience in property law and acts for a range of clients including institutional property trusts, developers, corporate landlords and corporate tenants.

He has acted on acquisitions and sales, leasing and the structuring and implementation of master -planned projects. He also regularly advises on and implements structures for transactions including expressions of interest and tenders, joint ventures and development agreements.
