Hall & Wilcox eyes China practice with NSW lawyer at the helm
Australian law firm Hall & Wilcox has appointed a NSW-based partner to head up the firm’s locally based China practice.
Ranny Fan has been appointed to the top role, which will see the firm expand its focus on the Chinese market.
In recognising Ms Fan’s appointment, Hall & Wilcox credited her extensive experience in drafting and negotiating legal documents requiring English and Chinese bilingual legal skills and her ability to deliver practical advice to clients.
“With the addition of Ranny, Hall & Wilcox’s China Practice now boasts two partners and more than 20 Mandarin-speaking lawyers across its corporate and commercial, property, banking and financial services, litigation and insurance teams, located in multiple offices,” Hall & Wilcox head of China practice Eugene Chen said.
“Our scale, depth of expertise and the fully integrated nature of our practice makes us a compelling proposition for Chinese, Australian Chinese and Asian corporates doing business in Australia.”
Commenting on her new role, Ms Fan said: “I am thrilled to be joining Hall & Wilcox where I can jointly work with the firm’s China Practice team focusing on extending the premium services to major Chinese and Australian corporations in relation to inbound and outbound M&A transactions.”
