HERBERT GEER & Rundle has appointed Dan Brush, a corporate media, telecommunications and intellectual property law specialist, as a partner in its Sydney office.

Brush has expertise in complex commercial, intellectual property and broadcasting law issues, with a particular focus on digital content. His current clients include national free-to-air television stations, transnational media companies and telecommunications and digital media companies. He also supports Mensheds Australia in a pro bono capacity.

Formerly a special counsel at DLA Phillips Fox, Brush also worked for 12 years in Silicon Valley, providing strategic corporate and commercial advice to the emerging technology sector. This included acting as general counsel for large technology companies including the NASDAQ-listed Excite@Home Corp and Versant Corporation.
