SYDNEY-BASED firm Curwoods Lawyers has strengthened its insurance expertise following the appointment of a new partner and senior associate.

Natalie Fisher has joined the firm as a partner, moving across from Henry Davis York where she worked for eight years.

Fisher specialises in federal compensation law and employee-related matters. She has extensive experience providing advice and acting in litigated compensation and common law claims for Commonwealth instrumentalities and bodies, large corporations and insurance companies, and has developed particular expertise in federal and maritime compensation law.

Emma Roberts has joined the firm as a senior associate, specialising in insurance claims resolution. She has extensive litigation experience and is an experienced advocate in a range of jurisdictions including the NSW Supreme Court, the District Court of NSW, the Local Court and the Claims Assessment Resolution Service. At Curwoods, she has been advising on public and product liability, general insurance, construction risk, contractual policy and indemnity issues and catastrophic claims. She joins the firm from Moray & Agnew.
