METLIFE INSURANCE Limited has brought in Andrew Butler as its new principal counsel.
Most recently he was with ING, but he also has prior experience with AMP and Legal & General. In his new role, Butler will lead the Australian legal team in providing support to Metlife’s direct and institutional business teams and dealing with the increasing demand for support of the Affiliate Inwards Asian Reinsurance team based in Singapore.
He will also provide input into the training and oversight of Metlife’s compliance function and assume responsibility for monitoring legislative and regulatory developments.
