Sydney partner among global promotions rounds

A Sydney-based practitioner specialising in restructuring and insolvency will join the ranks of partner at a global law firm.

Squire Patton Boggs has announced that 23 of its global colleagues have been promoted to principal. Among the promotions is Sydney’s Masi Zaki, a restructuring, insolvency and dispute resolution lawyer. 

 
 

According to his biography, Mr Zaki has experience in superior and appellate court litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes. He has also acted in advisory and transactional capacities in corporate restructuring and distressed M&A spaces. 

Among his experience is advising and representing directors and officers of a major ASX-listed entity in respect of its restructure by way of scheme of company arrangement and related transactions. He has also represented a provincial government entity in respect of its privations of significant energy sector assets. 

Chair and global chief executive Mark Ruehlmann commented: “On behalf of the firm, I would like to congratulate each of these individuals on achieving this well-deserved career milestone.
