Westmoreland has significant competition and trade practices law experience, ranging from complex merger clearances, to compliance program design and implementation and representation of clients before the ACCC.

He also gained corporate and mergers and acquisitions experience in the UK and he has previously held the position of general manager legal with Qantas Airways, with responsibility for trade practices advice and compliance.
