Colin Biggers & Paisley has appointed four new staffers to its insurance practice.

The firm has welcomed Laura Reisz and Emily Yin as special counsels and David Kim and Ingrid Lehmann as senior associates. All four join the insurance team.

Ms Reisz brings extensive experience in professional indemnity claims, having acted for a range of professionals with a particular focus on the financial services industry and the building and construction industry.

Ms Yin brings over 15 years’ experience in insurance law, with a focus on financial institutions, directors and officers, professional indemnity and other financial lines insurance. 

Mr Kim is described as a “skilled practitioner of contentious insurance matters in professional indemnity, product and public liability (including catastrophic claims), property damage, and warranty and indemnity insurance”. 

Meanwhile, Ms Lehmann brings over 10 years experience, with a particular focus on professional indemnity. 

“Insurance is a major area of focus for the practice and building our profile in this industry remains a priority,” said Colin Biggers & Paisley managing partner, Nick Crennan.

“In the past year we have made a significant number of appointments and promotions to build capacity to service our clients. The appointments of Laura, Emily, David and Ingrid are in line with this strategy, and their experience and skills in insurance will greatly complement our teams in Sydney and Brisbane.”

Emma Musgrave (née Ryan) is the managing editor, professional services at Momentum Media.

Emma has worked for Momentum Media since 2015, including five years spent as the editor of the company's legal brand - Lawyers Weekly. Throughout her time at Momentum, she has been responsible for breaking some of the biggest stories in corporate Australia. In addition, she has produced exclusive multimedia and event content related to the company's respective brands and audiences. 

Prior to joining Momentum Media, Emma worked in breakfast radio, delivering news to the Central West region of NSW, before taking on a radio journalist role at Southern Cross Austereo, based in Townsville, North Queensland.

She holds a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) degree from Charles Sturt University.
