Commercial firm elevates 3 new partners
A premier commercial law firm has welcomed three new partner appointments, taking the firm’s partnership numbers to 77.
Piper Alderman has elevated Lachlan Lamont, Jonathan Hidayat and Ben Motro to the partnership, based in Brisbane and in Sydney, respectively. Since July 2020, the firm’s promotions have included new partners, special counsel and senior associates.
Mr Lamont joined Piper Alderman in 2010 and has since gained significant experience in advising clients on commercial disputes. He regularly acts for large-scale litigations, and has particular expertise in contractual disputes, class actions and funded claims.
Joining the firm in 2016, Mr Hidayat has since specialised in restructuring, corporate and personal insolvency and general commercial disputes. He advises and represents liquidators, administrators, receivers, bankruptcy trustees’ directors and lenders.
Mr Motro joined in 2010, providing advice to clients in all areas of employment law with industrial relations and workplace health and safety. He has advised clients in a variety of industries, including in IT, retail, manufacturing and pharmaceutical.
“As we all continue to experience the effects of the global pandemic, we are delighted we can add strength to our partnership with new promotions,” Mr Britten-Jones said.
