Marking the latest investment in Kennedys’ Australian team, the firm said the promotions reflect its continued growth in a challenging market and commitment to an expanded range of services in Australia.

The firm said the senior staff appointments span Kennedys’ Sydney and Melbourne workforce, and its healthcare, liability, insurance and employment teams.

“In normal circumstances a group of senior appointments of this size would be a notable achievement for our firm, but it is even more impressive in the current environment,” said Matt Andrews, managing partner of Kennedys in Australia.

“It speaks to the depth of talent in our ranks and the growth opportunity in front of us. Our clients’ needs are evolving and increasingly they are putting their confidence in our team to deliver on these needs.

“Congratulations go to our newest senior associates and special counsel in Australia and we look forward to their contribution to our continued growth.”

Lawyers elevated to special counsel are Beth Altson (healthcare, Melbourne), Peter Craney (marine, transport and liability, Sydney), Persephone Forster (employment, Sydney), Llinos Kent (insurance, Sydney), Jasmine Sandhu (liability, Melbourne) and Emily Unger (liability, Melbourne)

Promotions to senior associate include Jane Cahill (liability, Melbourne), Kelly Grant (liability Melbourne), Jemima Griffith (marine, transport and liability, Sydney) and Beth O'Connor (healthcare, Sydney).
