Parramatta courthouse avoids shutdown amid COVID case
A Western Sydney courthouse has confirmed a worker returned a positive coronavirus diagnosis but there was no need to shut down for cleaning.

Parramatta Local Court reported a contractor was diagnosed with COVID-19 and had spent time within the courthouse on Wednesday, 12 August.
“DCJ will continue to work closely with NSW Health and carry out necessary measures to protect the safety of our staff, court users and the community,” DCJ said and added that anyone who attended the court between 8.30am and 12.30pm on 11-12 August should monitor and test for symptoms of COVID-19.
The worker was not temperature checking people as part of their duties, DCJ said.
