An ASX-listed firm has entered into an international partnership agreement to create a referral program for international family law clients between Australia and the UK.
Australian Family Lawyers, trading as ASX: AFL, has entered into an international partnership agreement with British-based firm Stowe Family Law. The motivation behind the partnership is to create a referral program for international family law clients between Australia and the UK.
“It is estimated that over 1 million UK citizens live in Australia, and in the UK over 130,000 Australians have made Britain their home,” AFL said.
“We are delighted to announce the partnership between two like-minded firms looking to support more clients to resolve their family law issues across both regions. Stowe’s growth into the UK’s largest specialist family law firm has seen a rise in the number of divorce cases with an international element, particularly from Australia,” said Stowe CEO Ken Fowlie.
“This partnership is a natural fit to ensure we can provide [best-in-class] legal advice for both our [UK-based] clients and those living outside in Australia.”
AFL chair Grant Dearlove added: “Our relationship with Stowe is another step forward in offering our clients the best advice available in navigating the family law landscape, now in the UK. With the growth of AFL and our seven offices in Australia, our family law team is becoming increasingly consulted by both Australian and UK clients who require specialist [cross-jurisdictional] advice and representation in the UK.”

The news follows last week’s reflections from AFL on one year of being a listed entity.
