Qld firm to relaunch following 2010 Slaters acquisition
Trilby Misso Lawyers is set to return after being bought back from Slater and Gordon, which acquired it 10 years ago.

Personal injury law firm Trilby Misso Lawyers – founded in the Brisbane suburb of Redcliffe in 1956 by Sri Lankan-raised lawyer Trilby Misso – will be relaunched after being bought back from national plaintiff firm Slater and Gordon.
Mr Andrews said it was a “huge thrill” to resurrect the “highly respected” Trilby Misso brand.
“We are tremendously excited to announce the purchase of the Trilby Misso brand and to relaunch a brand with a fantastic history,” he said.
“Our legal and administrative team will also include many people who were proud to have served under the Trilby Misso banner previously.”
The firm’s former CFO, Neil Fitzpatrick (pictured), will serve as the firm’s CEO moving forward.
“As well as the Edward St headquarters, the new Trilby Misso Lawyers will have a branch at the Orion Springfield Central shopping centre in Brisbane’s [south west],” he said.
“We are also planning further expansion in South East Queensland.”
“The original Trilby Misso Lawyers was Queensland’s first legal firm to focus on compensation law and offer ‘[no win, no fee]’ services to ensure people from all walks of life had access to justice,” Mr Andrews continued.
“Through expertise in its area of law, and an extraordinary commitment to client care, the original Trilby Misso grew to become one of Queensland’s largest law firms with more than 150 staff. The new Trilby Misso is fully independent with ownership of the brand returning to Queensland.
“Many of our new team have extensive histories with the original Trilby Misso Lawyers, and all share the same commitment to client care that’s always made the Trilby Misso brand so special.”
