Australian law firm Barry.Nilsson. has hired a new special counsel who joins its family law team.

Barry.Nilsson. has welcomed Lana Davey to its office based in Melbourne.

 
 

Ms Davey brings to her new role almost 15 years’ worth of family law experience. Throughout her career she has advised on complex family matters, holding a particular interest in supporting her clients in high-net-worth property matters, financial agreements and financial support.

“Lana’s down-to-earth style coupled with her comprehensive knowledge, direct approach, and empathetic disposition make her well placed to assist her clients in both litigated and negotiated matters,” a spokesperson for Barry.Nilsson. said.

According to Ms Davey’s LinkedIn, her areas of family and relationship law practice include, but are not limited to, child support disputes and agreements, consent orders, de facto relationships, family trusts, prenuptial agreements, restraining orders and spousal maintenance.

Prior to joining Barry.Nilsson., Ms Davey was employed by KCL Law (formerly known as Kliger Partners Lawyers), where she also held a special counsel position for a period of four years.

Emma Musgrave (née Ryan) is the managing editor, professional services at Momentum Media.

Emma has worked for Momentum Media since 2015, including five years spent as the editor of the company's legal brand - Lawyers Weekly. Throughout her time at Momentum, she has been responsible for breaking some of the biggest stories in corporate Australia. In addition, she has produced exclusive multimedia and event content related to the company's respective brands and audiences. 

Prior to joining Momentum Media, Emma worked in breakfast radio, delivering news to the Central West region of NSW, before taking on a radio journalist role at Southern Cross Austereo, based in Townsville, North Queensland.

She holds a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) degree from Charles Sturt University.
