Wotton + Kearney appoints new employment group leader

Australasian firm Wotton + Kearney has appointed a new leader for its employment practices liability team.

Chris Mossman, whom W+K described as a “highly regarded workplace lawyer and commercial litigator”, has been hired as a partner and new leader of the firm’s EPL practice.

He will be based in the firm’s Sydney office.

In a statement, the firm said that Mr Mossman is a “skilled advocate known for his strategic insight and depth and breadth of knowledge and experience across an extensive range of workplace issues”.

“Chris brings extensive industry experience to Wotton + Kearney, with past roles as the executive manager for workplace relations for ClubsNSW and executive director of employee relations for Clubs Australia.”

W+K financial lines practice group leader Cain Jackson said: “In looking for a senior specialist to lead our EPL team and strategy, it was important to find someone who was both highly credentialed and a good cultural fit with our lawyers and clients.”

“With his extensive experience and engaging manner, Chris was a standout. I have no doubt he will be a great asset to our team and take our offering to the next level.”
