Colin Biggers & Paisley adds 2 to insurance team

Colin Biggers & Paisley has welcomed the arrival of two insurance specialists, one of whom rejoins the firm’s Sydney office while the other takes to its Melbourne office.

CBP has announced Susannah Maclaren has rejoined the firm as special counsel in its Sydney insurance team, while Lauren Piscioneri has joined its Melbourne insurance team as a senior associate.

Ms Maclaren brings to her new role more than 17 years’ experience as an insurance and commercial lawyer with particular expertise in complex disputes, financial services regulation and remediation, according to a CBP statement.

Throughout her career, she has advised insurers and financial service providers across a broad range of issues, including dispute resolution, remediation and compliance, it noted.

Meanwhile, Ms Piscioneri specialises in matters concerning employment practices liability, occupational health and safety and managing ill and injured workers. She also has extensive experience reviewing financial lines insurance policies (including public liability, EPL and management liability), negotiating settlements, advising on indemnity claims and liaising with insurers, insureds and brokers, CBP said.
