‘Home-grown’ junior lawyers make partner
Hynes Legal has promoted three of its lawyers to the partnership for 2019.

Madeline Walsh, Amy O’Donnell and Todd Garsden have been promoted into the positions of the Brisbane-based firm which specialises in community living.
Ms Walsh will join partner Julie McStay in guiding the aged care team “during a challenging time for the sector as it heads into the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety”, the firm said, with reforms also being implemented across the retirement village sector.
For Ms O’Donnell and Mr Garsden, their appointments “further strengthen” the firm’s position in the strata industry.
Hynes Legal’s CEO Ben Deverson said the firm is excited to have all three “be part of our future growth and success”.
“They are all home-grown partners, having joined the firm as junior lawyers, and have all made a significant contribution to the firm’s success over the years,” he added.
