Aussie firm appoints new construction partner
An Australian law firm has announced it has hired a new partner who will join its construction and engineering team.

Colin Biggers & Paisley has welcomed Greg Begaud (pictured) to its partnership after posting significant growth in its construction and engineering practice.
CBP managing partner Nick Crennan congratulated Mr Begaud on his new role, saying he will be a great addition to the growing practice.
“Colin Biggers & Paisley has one of the largest specialist construction law teams in Australia. Greg's addition will continue to boost our capabilities and capacity in the construction space,” Mr Crennan said.
“It’s an exciting time for our legal practice as it continues to grow at a rapid pace. It’s gratifying that we are continuing to attract a fantastic caliber of lawyers such as Greg to Colin Biggers & Paisley.”
Commenting on his new role, Mr Begaud said: "Given my practice focus, I was looking to make a move to a preeminent construction firm, not only in its skills and capacity, but also in its standing and the perception of its brand in the market”.
“I also wanted to be at a firm where my partners were collegiate. I have long known that Colin Biggers & Paisley was such a firm, so it was an obvious first choice,” he said.
Mr Begaud’s appointment comes after CBP hired construction special counsel Rachel Pie and property partners Duane Keighran and Lisa Lane recently.
